How to Make an Appointment

Appointments may be booked in several ways:

Patients can book appointments up to 4 weeks in advance using SystmOnline. Once registered, patients can book a routine appointment with a doctor or nurse up to 4 weeks in advance on-line via the Appointment screen. There is a facility on the Appointment screen to enter the reason for the appointment; a brief explanation here will help the practice ensure that appointment slots are used appropriately. Where an appointment slot is restricted, a “pop-up” help box can provide details about the types of patients who can make these appointments (e.g. patients needing fasting blood tests). Please remember that all blood tests must be taken in the morning. Patients are advised to print the appointment booking confirmation sheet to present at reception on their arrival at the surgery. Click here to access appointments.

Appointment Types

We offer a range of different appointments at the surgery:

Routine appointments and Clinics

When you call or visit the surgery to ask for a non-urgent appointment (up to four weeks in advance) a doctor will ring you the next working day. The doctor will then give you the most appropriate appointment or treatment. This will include: an appointment with a doctor/nurse/health care assistant up to four weeks in advance/ within a couple of days / on the same day; or advice given over the phone; or documentation completed for collection e.g. prescription, fitness to work, fit to fly certificate etc.

You must emphasise if you think your condition is urgent, as you may need to talk to a nurse or doctor  the same day.  This is called “triage”.

It is really important that you keep your appointment or cancel it in plenty of time. This will allow other patients to be seen more efficiently. We offer an automated telephone service which allows you to book, cancel and change appointments 24 hours a day Telephone 020 8567 2111

Same day emergency appointments

If your symptoms are such that you feel you need to see a doctor on the same day, please contact Reception and ask for a same day appointment – you will be triaged by a nurse or doctor for this.

Saturday morning/Commuter appointments

Not able to see the doctor outside of working hours? We offer extended hours on Saturday mornings which need to be pre-booked.

Child Appointments

We have appointment times especially for children aged under sixteen years. These are 11.10am to 11.30am. Children’s appointments in the afternoon  will be triaged by a nurse or doctor.  Children who attend for an appointment, should normally be accompanied by an adult.
